2015 Table Tennis
Competition Update
We are very
close to having the quarter-final line-up for Congleton High School’s annual
Table Tennis Competition.
Top Half
of Draw
There has
already been a match played in the quarter-finals in the top half of the draw with Marcus
Chadwick beating Jake Duckworth 11-2 11-8 in the ‘battle of the year 11 boys’
to set-up a semi-final tie with either the 2013 champion, Mr de Souza or year 9
student Sam Harden.
Mr Barlow or
Sam Byram will play Josh Brindley in the quarter-finals with the winner of that
tie set to face Finley Jackson or Alex Turner/Max Hill in the semi-finals.
Bottom
Half of Draw
Last year’s
semi-finalist, Mr M Naylor has already reached the semi-final after a 11-9 11-3
victory over Tom Evans in the quarter-final this week. In the last four, he will face year
9 student, Elliott Darmon, who beat Matthew Lamb 11-4 11-4 in
his quarter-final.
The
defending champion, Nathan Garside has also made it through to the semi’s after
defeating Mr Franklin 11-5 11-7. He will now face either Conor Docherty or
Elliott Treanor, who are yet to play their quarter-final tie.
