Six Nations Rugby
After a mixed start to their high school rugby campaign, twelve Year 7 students were lucky enough to watch England take on Italy in the Six Nations Championship at the end of March. The students, who all represent the CHS rugby team, travelled down to Twickenham to see England beat Italy 18 points to 11.
The trip was organised by the PE Curriculum Team and was a great opportunity for the students to see elite international rugby in the flesh. The students all really enjoyed the experience and are raring to play their next match so they can play like the individuals who they watched play.
Mr Cross, Deputy Curriculum Leader in PE said “Hopefully after this trip rugby will continue to progress at Congleton High School, and in the future we might even be able to see one of our students play at international level”.
